Hi, I’m Irving,

I (he/him) am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor Candidate (RTCC-Registration #3668), registered with the Association of Canadian Counselling Therapists. I am working and living on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

I aspire to be able to give people an opportunity for a knowledge of self. I believe if a person does not have knowledge of themselves and their position in their immediate and material orbit and greater world then they have little chance to relate to anything else.

I am a liberation oriented counsellor, my aim is to confront and work to dismantle oppressive systems: colonialism, white supremacy, and patriarchy within myself and my practice to broaden the vision of what counselling can be for folks who are marginalized and disenfranchised by dominant culture. Collective liberation is my vision, to help you imagine a little bigger within yourself, your community, and the world.

I want to accompany you as you discover the language that is your joy, your rage, your grief, and your pleasure. I look forward to supporting you throughout your process.
